Top prize winner at the Int'l Tchaikovsky Competition (2011) and recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant (2013), Itamar Zorman has wowed audiences all over the world with breathtaking style, causing one critic to declare him a “young badass who’s not afraid of anything.” Mr. Zorman has performed as a soloist with the world’s major orchestras and conductors, including Zubin Mehta, Michael Tilson-Thomas, Valery Gergiev, Yuri Bashmet, and Nathalie Stuztmann. As a recitalist he's performed at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Merkin Hall, the Louvre, the Library of Congress, and appeared at Verbier, Marlboro, Rheingau, and Radio France Festivals with artists such as Richard Goode, Mitsuko Uchida, Steven Isserlis and Jörg Widmann. He received degrees from Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, Juilliard, and Manhattan School of Music. Mr. Zorman is currently on faculty at Eastman. He plays on a 1734 Guarneri del Gesù, from the collection of Yehuda Zisapel.
